A partner at CurbyMcLintock was engaged by an international Oil & Gas company to assess fraud and corruption risks within one of its global financial shared service centres in Asia. The project identified numerous unique fraud and corruption methodologies that could be exploited within the business.
Financial exposures ranging from thousands of dollars to approximately USD$100 million were identified. We provided immediate practical and strategic recommendations to strengthen controls, governance and manage their risk of fraud. The client was able to replicate the findings and implement the strategies across their other financial shared service centres.
