With more than 25 years as a Chartered Accountant, Kylie specialises in forensic accounting and investigations. Her early career with a Big Four accounting firm provided extensive experience in conducting statutory audits and related assurance services for multinational organisations and ASX‑listed entities. After joining the Disputes Services team, Kylie focused on delivering forensic accounting investigations, financial fraud investigations, forensic contract reviews, loss quantification assessments, and Expert Reports for court proceedings.

Kylie’s depth of accounting expertise, both technical and procedural—provides a strong foundation for undertaking forensic accounting analysis, reviewing complex contractual arrangements, and assessing disputes arising from business acquisitions or divestments.

Snapshot of Experience

Assisted Legal Counsel in a family business dispute by conducting a forensic examination of the company’s books and records to assess allegations of misconduct by the family member responsible for managing the business. The matter proceeded before the Supreme Court of Victoria.

Conducted an international forensic investigation to determine the quantum and appropriateness of transactions recorded in the underlying books and records. The matter was heard before the Grand Court of Cayman Islands.

Completed a forensic contract review and investigation in relation to an alleged unsubstantiated claim under a building construction contract. Arbitration proceedings.

Forensic audit of a company’s books and records to assess evidence of potential financial fraud by an employee following a whistleblower allegation.

Various contract disputes arising from the purchase and/or sale of businesses.

Authored an Expert Report following an international forensic investigation into the delivery of services by a Fund Manager under key service agreements. Kylie led the investigation, which focused on assessing the accuracy of the books and records, the appropriateness of transactions, and the reliability of related reporting by the Fund Manager. She subsequently appeared before the Supreme Court of New South Wales as an expert witness in the matter.
