Scott has over 20 years of forensic experience, specialising in investigations, fraud and corruption risk, hotline implementation and management, and forensic accounting. His career extends across Australia and international jurisdictions including the US, Europe and Asia. He has held roles within law enforcement (Queensland Police and Serious Fraud Office, London), regulatory bodies such as the Australian Securities and Investments Committee (ASIC), corporate environments (British Petroleum) and consulting with one of Australia’s largest forensic practices.

Scott‘s approach is to collaborate closely with clients and other forensic specialists to deliver efficient, comprehensive and fit for purpose solutions to complex issues, while remaining cognisant of the commercial sensitivities inherent in running a business and managing high-risk matters.

He maintains a strong work ethic and prides himself on the quality of his work and the enduring relationships he has built throughout his career. He is adaptable and sensitive to cultural nuances when working across jurisdictions and industries.

Snapshot of Experience

Led numerous corporate fraud investigations that resulted in the preparation of briefs of evidence referred to the relevant state law enforcement agency, ultimately leading to the successful prosecution of the offender.

Part of a team responsible for identifying and investigating alleged fraudulent activity perpetrated by directors of foreign exchange entity/s with losses of more than $1 million pursued by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).

Implemented and managed whistleblower hotlines for clients including the assessment and triage of matters through their channel.

Conducted various confidential employee misconduct investigations for corporate and government organisations – including matters involving fraud, corruption, bullying and harassment, conflicts of interest, misuse of company assets, intellectual property theft across multiple geographical regions (UK, USA, Poland, Turkey, Germany, Italy, Kosovo, Georgia, Azerbaijan, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Papua New Guinea and Angola).

Part of the team supporting the Inquiry conducted by the Honourable PA Bergin SC into the Crown Casino in Sydney, established by the NSW Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority.

Part of a team involved in an asset tracing exercise relating to a $500 million collapsed mutual fund Ponzi scheme across 50 international jurisdictions pursued by UK Serious Fraud Office (SFO).
